Description

Cath Pickett of Chepstow Plant will be talking about managing the H&S elements of Mobile plant operations and the journey into autonomous operations. She will go into great detail on the following:- • Plant specification – link to MPA “Safer by Design” and efforts made on ground level fuelling and isolation devices on mobile plant. • Specific risks to operators – competence & familiarisation, collision avoidance devices, site set up, access and egress , whole body vibration etc. • Foreseeable incidents, collisions, overturns – lessons learned and considerations in the planning of a job. • Specific risks to engineers –total isolation, inadvertent movement, ground & weather conditions, lone working. • Safety considerations in the autonomous journey.
